Frequently asked
Can I bring content over from Word or Excel?
Yes — by copy and paste, via file import with a preview, or as a drag-and-drop attachment. Tables stay tables.
Are entries immutable after signing?
After the electronic signature the entry is frozen. Later additions are recorded as declared amendments with person, time and reason.
Can several people write at the same time?
Yes. Changes appear in real time, participants are visible, and read-only access is clearly marked. Comments and change suggestions run on the same entry.
Can I go back to an earlier state?
Yes. The version history shows earlier states and one of them can be restored. The edit trail stays complete.
What about sequences, plates and charts?
There are dedicated blocks for that: sequences and primers, plasmids, restriction and ligation, PCR setups, plate layouts, gel images, charts, data tables and sketches.
Does the journal work offline?
No — reading and writing need a connection. During short dropouts the editor buffers the current edits locally and syncs them once the connection is back.
