The mission behind LabNote.Light
We're convinced that every lab deserves access to modern documentation — regardless of size or budget.
WHY WE EXIST
Good lab software shouldn't be a privilege reserved for large corporations.
We're developing LabNote.Light for small and mid-sized labs that want to document their work clearly without relying on an oversized system.
Our story
LabNote.Light grew out of a simple observation: between paper, spreadsheets and large enterprise systems, many labs lack a good fit for their daily documentation.
Our team brings together experience in lab work, software development and documentation requirements. We're developing a shared workspace where lab work can be recorded and traced.
Development is taking place with IUTA, Cellcolab, INVITE Research and Gateway Factory. Verito Digital supports external testing. LabNote.Light is in early access, with general release planned for 2027.
WHO IS BEHIND IT
Tobias Wingbermühle
Founder of LabNote.Light · CEO of Green Digital Consulting
For more than 15 years I have worked with labs, instrument manufacturers and research institutes across pharma, chemistry and biotech — most recently as co-founder of Clustermarket (today Calira) and as founder of Green Digital Consulting.
In every one of those projects I saw the same thing: daily lab work held together by spreadsheets and paper folders, while off-the-shelf systems are either too expensive or too rigid. LabNote.Light is my answer to that — close to daily lab work, without the ballast.
